Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve is finally here. Let the madness begin. Ryan is still snuggled up in bed with his two bears. He wouldn't go to sleep last night without them. I think it is because we are at Pop and Granny Damesworth's. They tried to get him to sleep with them last night which resulted in some MAJOR screaming. Poor baby couldn't catch his breathe. He just wanted Mommy. So we snuggled for a while before I finally got him to lay down to go to sleep.

Ryan found his wagon with blocks before I could get them wrapped. Needless to say they aren't going to be wrapped. :)

He was fascinated with the snowmen and dog in the floor.

He was so excited about the blocks and then Pops got out a ball. Of course his attention then was on "ballball"

Fast asleep snug in his bed after almost 10 hours of sleep. Nana and Papa must have worn him out yesterday.

Merry Christmas
And A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Getting ready for Christmas

Are you ready for Christmas??

Kids say the funniest things. Ryan is always saying something funny.
This morning Ryan woke up saying "dog." I thought that he wanted the stuffed dog that my dad brought home for him, but no he wanted a hotdog for breakfast. He went to the refrigerator  and whined until I opened it. He then dug through my meat drawer until he found his hotdogs. Kids are just too funny.

He is growing up way to fast. He is always bringing me some toy and then the wrapping paper wanting me to wrap it and put it under the tree. He is slowly learning that we cannot touch the tree or pull the bows off the presents.

We are almost ready for Christmas just need to get three more gifts and I think we will be done. So ready for Christmas Eve. That's when we are doing our Christmas at our house. I don't want to be rushed on Christmas morning because we have to be in Columbia for lunch.

Holiday Traditions
I have to work the day before Christmas Eve which is when we normally have Christmas at my parents house so things are going to be slightly different. I am definitely going to miss the pizza that we have before we open our gifts. We are probably going to have a super early Christmas this year since I work Wednesday and Thursday.

Have fun getting ready for Christmas! See you all again soon!

Long Day At Home

Day Off At Home

I had my first day off with absolutely nothing planned to do. So I put it to good use. I slept late and enjoyed EVERY minute of it. Ryan woke me up, and our day begun. We played non-stop until after a lunch of spaghetti-o's. Afterwards, of course, Ryan had to have a bath.

I managed to get the living room clean, dishes washed, and start on some Christmas presents while Ryan took a nap. After his nap, he wanted me to lay in the floor with him and play while we watched Elmo Pets.

It is weird to have went all day with Chase not being home. He had to drive to Birmingham, Alabama to make a delivery for work. We are SO thankful for the work, but I am not sure how he is going to feel about driving to Alabama or Arkansas for delivery's.

I hope to get a camera for Christmas. I miss not being able to take pictures and post them. My camera works but it says the batteries are dead after only taking a few pictures. Something is wrong with it, to say the least.

I need ideas on Birthday and Christmas presents for Chase. His birthday is the 18th. We are thinking about going to Nashville to celebrate, but I would like to get him something else as well. I have yet to get started on Ryan's Christmas. I have NO idea what to do on our extremely tight budget now days. If grandparents are getting him toys, I think I will be getting him clothes and diapers to open.

I really enjoy writing a blog. It helps to get my thoughts collected before my busy life is whisked off to something else.

I hope everyone had a Totally Terrific Thursday

5 Things I Learned Today

1.I learned that trying to cut out and sew together little dresses is best done while Ryan is asleep. I get much more accomplished this way, and he isn't constantly pulling my scissors off my table.

2. My Christmas tree could use some major overhauling. Next year it is going to be my Kitchen tree decorated with Gingerbread cookie cutters and wooden spoons. As for this year, it is a skinny tree with lots of holes with LOTS of ornaments to make it look fuller.

3. Do not leave a ball of yarn out if I do not want it strolled all over my house. Wish I had gotten a picture of Ryan pulling it around the house. Boy was that a mess to clean up.

4. Sometimes it takes more than a few days, weeks, or months for God to answer prayers. This week God has answered a prayer that I have been praying for over two years. I feel that things are finally starting to look up for our family.

5. Don't leave anything on the edge of my kitchen bar because Ryan is now tall enough that if he stands on his toes he can reach almost to the middle of my stove. I am going to have to really watch him now.

My next blog will be about the new things that Ryan has been doing these last couple of weeks.

I hope you all have had a Scrumptious Sunday, Merry Monday, and Terrific Tuesday.

Pictures

Damesworth Thanksgiving 2010

Little man woke up before mommy and Granny got his picture.
Granny with Drake. It is so good to have him home if it is only for the weekend.
Uncle D and Little man relaxing before lunch.
Mommy I am filling my tummy.
I had to throw in an obnoxious picture. :)
Hope you all had a great Saturday!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING

What a beautiful day we had to spend Thanksgiving. I didn't get to take any pictures because my camera is messed up. I was NOT happy about that fact.
I got to help cook lunch this year. It was great to help my mom and grandmother make the day special. After my aunt Rebecca showed up things got interesting. All four of her great kids plus Ryan and Sara made for a LOUD Thanksgiving. We wouldn't have it any other way though.

I think it is funny how after lunch all the men retire to the den to lay around and nap while all the women have to clean up the meal we cooked. But it's all good.
My aunt Frankie and I went outside with all the kids and let them run around on the farm. Ryan and Matthew were constantly fighting over the Tonka dump truck. We are going to have to buy the poor boys another one. It is not a good idea to have ONE dump truck and TWO little boys under 3 years old.
Sara and Olivia were as sweet as always. It's so funny cause after playing for a while, they would fight, then they were back to being best friends.

Poor Ryan got a bad rash from it being 75 degrees outside and his wranglers rubbed his legs raw. Poor thing I felt so bad. He seems much better now.

Black Friday wasn't any fun for me because I had to work from 7 am until 1:30, however I did get to get a few items from work that I had been wanting.

Today is Thanksgiving at the Damesworth's. I am going to try to take some pictures today. Promise! SO excited!

The Start of Something New

It's the start of something new. I have blogged before in the past, and I have decided that this is an easy way to keep everyone up-to-date on how fast Ryan is growing!
This is Ryan before he turned one. I am not on my personal computer so I don't have all the great pictures. I will try to get on tomorrow to put more recent pictures up.

I was inspired to start blogging again by my cousin Jen. She has a blog It's a wonderful life and I have enjoyed reading all the things that lil' man does. I recently was on her blog and noticed she is having a giveaway for her small craft business GigglesnGumdrops. I love the things that they have. Can't wait to be able to order some things for Ryan.

I am going to have to post more tomorrow about this wonderful Thanksgiving we have had.

Until We Meet Again ♥
