Happy New Year

Christmas was a blast! I wish I had a camera so that I could post all the great memories that we made. We added to our family Christmas eve. We now have Bear and "Bingo" (still unnamed puppy) in our family. They will be 7 weeks old Monday and are the cutest little fur balls. Pictures will come soon.

We were able to make a quick trip to Louisiana. Driving down Friday night wasn't bad because Ryan slept MOST of the way. He was awake from 12 am until 2 am watching "melmo" Elmo over and over. It was great to see all the family in Coushatta. I wish we could have stayed longer but at least we surprised them. They had no idea we were coming and we went banging on their door at 7:30 am. I'm sure they were VERY happy with us! :)

I forgot to remind my mother-in-law about the two 16X20 canvasses that she had to bring home with me but I have no idea where I would have put it. We had two puppies, two Christmas trees, LOADS of decorations, clothes, and all of Ryan's toys. Must remind her to bring them or send them to me! ;) "hint hint MaryLynn"

Ryan loved playing with his Granna, Poppa, "Mimon" Simon, and Aunt KK. Of course he loved  playing with Mattie and Jack. I am not sure Jack was too happy about having to share his toys for a few days, but he will adjust soon with a new baby brother almost here. Aunt Amber and Brian came to see Ryan Saturday and he didn't know what to think at first. He is really slow about warming up to people. Maybe he will grow out of that stage since he grew into it.

We went to Papaw and GG's (Chase's dad's) Christmas night and Ryan LOVED playing Horsey with Papaw and jumping off the fire place hearth. He wouldn't let GG hold him but I think it was because she was sitting down. He doesn't sit very well. He is always on the move.

Skip ahead to New Year's Eve

PARTY @ CROWDER'S
We had SO much fun with everyone at our house last night. I cooked Jambalaya. It was yummy. Chase was supposed to cook it but had to go into town. Thankfully Ashley was there to help me or I would have been a mess. But after tears, five burnt knuckles, and a burnt wrist, I had a pretty big pot of Jambalaya. And I only forgot the salt. SORRY everyone. Nobody complained, I even got some to try it that won't try anything. That's a rule at my house. You must try everything. I have had to follow that one and try alligator. I tried it, didn't like it, won't do it again. :)

After about 6 hours of Just Dance 2, Wii Sports, Some volleyball, archery, board games, and air soft gun fights, we spent some time in prayer and talking to God from 2010 until 2011. It felt good knowing that our house can be a place of fun for our youth but also a place of seriousness and praise to God. I am so thankful for our Church family and friends. Ya'll will never realize just how important you are in my life. Keep the faith!

I'm done now! Promise!

Happy New Year!
