Happy 4th of July
How are you and your family celebrating? We started celebrating last night by having a great bar-b-que dinner and then a late night run. I really am enjoying my running. I have been trying to run at least 3 or 4 nights a week and I am really enjoying it. Anyway, after running last night we sat down around the table, ate watermelon, and just talked the night away.
We woke up this morning with Ryan wanting to go play in the park and we didn't hear the end of it until Granny finally took him to the park. :) He has grown so much in the last couple months. He continues to show me everyday that life is super precious and we must never take it for granted.
Trey is growing so fast. He has started grabbing at anything and everything put in front of him. He laughs and talks non-stop. His gummy little smile is just SO precious!!! :) Nothing in life is more important than getting to love on my boys everyday!

Happy Celebrating 4th of July!

Where Does Time Go?

My baby boy turned 3 yesterday. I cannot believe I am mommy to a three year old and a one month old. It seems like yesterday I was a teenager without a care in the world. It was 5 years ago last weekend that my life changed forever. I met Chase on May 25th, 5 years ago. We knew almost instantly that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. By November that same year we were engaged.
My mom and I took the boys to get their pictures made yesterday, and the more I look at them the more I feel like life is flying by way to fast. I didn't know that someone could love another human being as much as I have found I love my boys. There is just something about a mother's love. I know I have always loved Chase, yet the more I see him with our boys the deeper I fall in love. Not only have my babies grown, but my husband has turned into the greatest daddy and husband anyone could ever want. Sure we have our problems, what couple doesn't? But I know he will always be there for me and the boys.

Ryan

Ryan has grown so much in the last year. Not only is he about 4 inches taller than he was last year, he has gained about 5 pounds and is talking so much more. From just saying one to two word sentences to actually holding a conversation with you. He will drive you nuts talking if you let him keep on. (Kindof reminds me of his momma... lol)
He has learned how to swim under and above water in the last year. He can also ride his bicycle using the pedals now instead of his feet. His favorite toys are his stuffed animals, books, trains, guns, and puzzles. (He can put together a 25 piece puzzle in under 5 minutes.) He is the master of all things Ipad, Iphone, Ianything. In the last month he has proved to be a great big brother helping me any chance I give him to.

Trey
Trey is growing very fast as well. He doesn't look to much like mommy or to much like daddy. He is the perfect combination of us both. He can already roll over from his tummy to his back and I have caught him a couple times on his tummy when I have laid him down on his back. He loves his swing and vibrating chair. Ryan always hated the swing, but Trey is totally content to swing away for a while. He LOVES tummy time especially when Ryan gets down in the floor and talks to him. He just grunts away at Ryan. He is following sounds with his eyes and by turning his head. He started grabbing onto anything in reach in the last couple days. He is eating anywhere from 4-5 ounces every 2 hours. Except at night and it is usually 3 oz every time he wakes up. We still do not have a scheduale for sleeping at night but he seems to be doing some better. We, of course, still have our bad nights.

Family

We went on our first road trip Memorial Day weekend to Columbia. We stayed at Big Papa and Mia's house and went to church with them. I dont think I got any pictures of the boys while we were there. :( Really needed one to put in his baby book.
Chase's mom, stepdad, sister, and brother are coming up June 9th and we can't wait. Ryan is ready to see his Granna, Papa, KK, and Mimon. I am sure they are anxious to see Ryan and Trey as well. My mother-in-law started a blog called Chickens on My Roof. The url is chickensonmyroof.blogspot.com everyone should totally check it out.

I will try to get over here one day this week and post some pictures. So it will be simply a picture post. No crazy reading. :)

Until Then God Bless

Trey Daniel's Delivery!

What a month we have had around here. I had said that I was going to post often on the blog but life has had other ideas. The Monday after my last post we had another ultrasound and decided to induce a week later. So I had one week to get everything taken care of before Baby Trey made his arrival. Of course I had a HORRIBLE week full of contractions and severe back pain. On Wednesday May 2nd, we went in to be induced.
That day was a day that changed my life forever. Having had one child I thought I knew exactly what to expect and that life wouldn’t be any harder with two. What was I thinking??
Labor and Delivery was perhaps the easiest delivery EVER. I mean I don’t think anyone has ever had it as easy as I seemed to have had it. They started the pitocin at 7 am on full blast. Then right after the anesthesiologist came in to give me the epidural. By 9 am, Dr. Evans was coming to break my water, and my contractions (although about every 4 minutes) weren’t that painful. After she broke my water the story changed. The epidural had done its work in every spot except for about a three inch diameter spot in the center of my stomach. For about an hour I suffered with pain that literally took my breath away. Then at 10:30 another anesthesiologist came in and gave me a shot of some pain meds thru the epidural line.
From about 11 am until 12 I dozed and slept. At 12:05 the nurse decided to come in and check me to see how I was doing. I was complete and Trey was about to make his appearance. So they start preparing the room and call Dr. Evans. After they had everything set up, she had me lean up, and then immediately had me lay back down. Trey was coming and he did NOT want to wait on the doctor. For the next 5 minutes from 12:15 until 12:20, my nurse had me panting to keep my contractions from pushing him out. Dr. Evans arrived around 12:20 and had me push THREE times and Trey was completely out. He came out crying and peeing all over Dr. Evans. It was a moment I will never forget. I didn’t feel ONE single thing! And it was HEAVENLY!! He was born at 12:26 p.m.

The last two weeks with Trey has been very stressful, sleepless, and hectic but I wouldn't trade them for anything. I was miserable while pregnant with Trey, although I still loved every minute of the pregnancy. Having him here to hold anytime I want to, to love on, kiss on, and spoil is a blessing I hope to never take for granted. God has blessed our family so much!

Labor Pains

Went into "false" labor yesterday around 2 am. Here is a break down of what happened between 2 am and 11:30 am. Definitely not the outcome I was hoping to have. :(
April 22, 2012, 2:00 am: I wake up from a dead sleep with a contraction that literally makes me want to cry.
3:30 am: Still having contractions about every 10-15 minutes apart. This is getting annoying
4:30 am: Contractions are now between 7-10 minutes apart. Getting closer so make up my mind that when Chase and Ryan get up we will be going to the hospital.
5:30 am: Get up and start getting ready to head to the hospital
7:30 am: Arrive at the hospital with my contractions about 5 minutes apart. Beginning to think THIS is IT!
9:30 am: Not dilating despite having contractions every 2-3 minutes.
11:30 am: Still not dilating but contractions have slowed to every 3-4 minutes and not as intense. So they send us home. :(
We left the hospital and I was very frustrated. I was beyond ready to have this baby. Skip ahead to about 9:30 pm, I am still having contractions about every 5-10 minutes. Talk about being frustrated. I decided a hot bath and bed was what I needed. The bath helped a little but it was still close to 12:30 or 1 am before I was able to finally fall asleep.
April 23,2012
Thankfully at some point throughout the night the contractions slowed to almost non-existant. An after I woke up today I had only had two contractions. MAJOR change from yesterday.
I had a doctor's appointment at 10:45. I called ahead and asked about having another ultrasound since I would be 38 weeks Thursday and Dr. Evans had said I would have another one at 38 weeks. So excited that we got to have the ultrasound. Trey's little cheeks are just so chubby looking. He only measured 2 days ahead today, but weighed in at 7 pounds 2 ounces. Dr. Evans gave us GREAT news when we finally got to see her. Since I have been having so many contractions the last 5 weeks, she really doesn't want us to go past 39 weeks. YAY! So we set a date to be induced incase Trey doesn't come on his own this week. He will be here May the 2nd AT LEAST! :) I am still hoping he decides to come on his own so that I can feel what it is like to go into full blown labor on my own. We shall see. I am going to try to upload some photos of Ryan tomorrow on here and Facebook. It has been a long time since I have added any of his funny crazy self. Life just wouldn't be fun without him to keep me going everyday! :)

Family

Two posts in two days. Wow! I must be trying to make up for lost time. Today I have family on my mind. Family is so precious and a lot of times people take their families for granted.
I have been SO blessed to have had my grandparents around my whole life. They are now watching my children grow up. I know we do not have forever with our families but for now I cherish every moment I get to spend with my grandparents.
It is so hard knowing that Chase's family is all over 8 hours away and that Ryan is growing up just from hear say and not from spending precious moments with his grandparents and great grandparents in Louisiana. I try to get out what pictures I have on a regular basis and talk to him about his BIG family in Louisiana.
Family has always been important to me. My family will come first above anything else. My first priority is of course now to my husband and my children. What a privilege it is to be raising my own precious family!
I always worry about my grandparents and make sure I tell them I love them as often as I talk to them. We never know when the last time we will speak to ANY of our family might be. I never want to take advantage of the opportunity to give my family big hugs and kisses and tell them I love them.  I have to add some pictures to this post of family members. It just wouldn't be complete without it. So if anyone is actually reading this, then ENJOY! :)

Anxiously waiting

So apparently I am not going to get to post my blog as often as i would like. Still waiting on my dad to get his computer set up so that I can do work for him and get quality Internet. My phone just won't cut it. I am posting now from my mom's iPad. I think I can handle this for a couple of weeks maybe. Going to start recording things in a journal or notebook and then typing them up as I get the chance. What a couple of weeks we have had! On April 10th I went into early labor and they stopped it. However if it had been two days later she would have let me went ahead and had baby Trey. Now once again we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Trey Daniel. I have managed in the last week to get my entire house scrubbed, organized and ready for him to get here. His bed, dresser, changing table, and bassinet are all awaiting his arrival as anxiously as the rest of us. If they could talk I am sure they would be yelling at him to hurry up and get here. Ryan is gutting antsy as well. I think he is getting tired of everyone talking about his baby brother coming but yet after over a week of seeing no baby I think he is beginning to wonder if there is a baby brother coming. He told me earlier to go to his baby brother's doctor and bring him home. I wish it were that simple. So Baby Trey PLEASE hurry up and make your appearance we are all going crazy waiting on you.

Return From The Dead

I have been away WAY to long. Mostly because we did not have internet. We still do not have internet at home but I can now access my blog from my phone. :) What a year 2011 turned out to be. Here is a point by point run through. Try not to get to bored!
  • We started out the year 2011 in a big 5 bedroom house with TONS of room but almost 30 minutes from any civilization. If you know me at all, you know that I love being close to my parents, church, and STORES. So we started out house hunting in the beginning of 2011. It was a slow process to which I thought we would never find the "right" house.
  • In February, we paid off our first car loan which helped our credit tremendously. Of course the next week Chase totalled out the Saturn so we had to buy another vehicle. Thankfully we were able to pay cash from the insurance and was able to get a second vehicle.
  • By April we knew that my working at Cato some 45 minutes from the house just was NOT making sense. I was spending more money on gas and babysitters then I was earning. So at the end of April I became a stay at home mom. The next week, we found out that we were expecting a baby. What a joy that was!
  • Two weeks after founding out we were pregnant, something happened and we lost the baby. Our Angel is never far from our minds even though I was only about 5 weeks pregnant I know that a living, breathing, baby had gone to be with Jesus. It is much easier to talk about now, but I was at a loss for weeks.
  • It was about 2 weeks after we lost the baby, that we found "the house". There was NO way we could afford it even though it was the CHEAPEST house with 11 acres we could find. It was a foreclosure which required at 20% down payment. Thanks to a grandmother that knows the value of land, and understood our desire to get closer to civilization, we were able to put in an offer on a house that needed a total remodel.
  • Some how God supplied, and by the end of June we were home owners to a 1 bedroom, 1 bath house with 11 acres. Now trying to figure out how we were going to live in 1 bedroom?? So were we. Thankfully because we did not have a loan on one of our vehicles we were able to borrow toward it to remodel the house. It was a LONG summer, half of which we spent living in a camper and taking showers in the unfinished bathroom of the house. We even managed to turn the 'dining' room into a master bed room to make our house a 2 bedroom house. Boy were we excited.
  • September 2011 was a very eventful month. We still weren't in the house but each day with me working little by little on the painting and trim, it was getting closer. September 3rd, we found out that we were expecting another miracle. I was so scared for weeks. However, I was scheduled to run a 5k on September 25th. I decided to run anyway despite being 6 weeks pregnant. I ended up running/ walking the 5k in 45 minutes and was quite proud of myself. I returned home that afternoon to a house full of family laying carpet, finishing the front porch, and moving in furniture. I was SUPER excited. We spent our first night in our new house on Saturday September, 25th. Ryan loved it so much he ran from his room, to our room, to the kitchen and bathroom about a dozen times before he finally laid down to go to sleep. :)
  • On September 27th, we had our first ultrasound and OB appointment which brought many tears of happiness to see and hear our little bean.
  • In December 2011, a week before Christmas we found out that baby #2 was going to be a boy. We immediantly decided to name him Trey Daniel.  Yippee TWO boys! :) What more could I want??? Christmas and New Year's proved to be one of our happiest even though we did not get to go to Louisiana to visit family. :(
  • 2012 has so far been VERY eventful. I started working more hours at Curves, growing a little more everyday, feeling very thankful for all that God has given us. Then the first of February, I got a call from a doctor's office wanting to know if I would like to have an interview. I was ecstatic since I had put in resume's back in July and August of 2011 without one call. I had the interview fulling not expecting to get the job since I was 6 1/2 months pregnant. However, they called me the next day wanting me to start in a little over a week. I was excited, yet nervous. I took the job because I was so eagar to get my foot into the medical field door. However after only 3 weeks of working and barely 7 1/2 months pregnant, I started have contractions and bad back pain towards the end of the day. Finally, at 32 weeks I put in my two week notice for the sake of keeping baby in until at least 36 weeks and at the rate I was going I knew that was not going to happen. I loved my job but I am finding now that I am home, that I love being home with my son even more. If I can somehow find a part-time job at a medical office after Trey is born then I might go back to work. However, no job is worth being away from my kids and hubby for 50-55 hours a week.
That brings us to today! I am currently sitting at Curves manning the desk (since I can sit and work). I decided that I really want and need to get back into my blogging. I am going to try to keep it all about Ryan and Trey so that Chase's family can keep up with their daily/weekly progress. However, I intend to throw in a day once a week or so that is totally about me. Random thoughts sometimes just need to come out! :) Hope you guys haven't went into Monica Crazy Overload! Enjoy Your Wednesday!
